Tilt-and-turn windows

One handle, two motions. German Salamander profiles, specified for American walls. Tilt for locked ventilation; turn inward to clean, pass furniture, or meet an egress opening.

The motion

Built around the handle, not the track

Tilt for air

The sash leans in at the top a few inches. Bottom keepers stay engaged so you can vent overnight without an open hole at the sill.

Turn for access

The same handle swings the sash fully into the room. Wash both faces of the glass from the floor. Size the opening for egress when the code asks for it.

Perimeter hardware

European multipoint locks throw bolts around the sash. The count rises with the size of the unit — not a single latch at a meeting rail.

Made to the opening

Each window is produced on Salamander Streamline 60 or 76 after we spec the wall, glass package, and hardware. No stock sizes.

Send the openings. We will pick 60 or 76.

Wide patio spans belong on a patio door, not a tilt-turn sash. If that is the opening, we will say so.
